Gary Laird – Contemporary & Traditional Painter

Born in Sydney 1955. Gary currently resides on the South Coast of NSW with his wife and family. Gary is passionate in his art and began his career professionally in 1976. He held his first one-person exhibition at Primrose Lane Gallery Cronulla in 1977.

A painter of traditional and contemporary works in oi1, acrylic watercolour and mixed media Gary has a unique technique and style. He has been involved in many successful one, two and three person exhibitions. Sutherland Shire Council, Kiama Municipal Council, the Maritime Services Board and Wollongong University have purchased individual works of his individual style. Gary’s work is also represented in private and corporate collections throughout Australia, Japan, Canada, U.S.A., England, Italy, South Africa and South America.  During 1997-1998, he completed major commissions for telecommunications giant ‘Optus’
