ARTIST BIO

As soon as I could hold a pencil, I drew.

At 16, I went to work for Vida Turner p/l as a textile designer, and this is where I was taught perfection. In line work, in colour matching, and design.

I loved animals, especially horses, which took up a great part of my life. Breeding ,training, and showing very sucessfully at National level.

During these years, I was commissioned to do the portraits of the many Quarter horses. as well as the stallions at the famous Winderadeen Stud.

Some of the  Thoroughbred pastel portraits I have done are listed below. I never was very good at record keeping and many of my  works were not photographed.

All works were in pastel.

Vo Rogue - sold

Kingston Rule _ sold and Highly Commended at the Mornington Rotary Artshow

Better Loosen up - Melbourne Cup Winner - sold

Silver Bounty - Caulfied Cup Winner - sold

Black Caviar - A true Champion - for sale

I have been successful with life drawing, selling work at the Morninton Rotary Artshow

My home is in Gippsland, wheer I am constantly challenged by the magnificent scenery,  working with watercolour,

to try to capture the beauty around me. I cant wait to go into my studio (a converted shed) and work. I am so driven!

And while Im working, the hours just fly. Its so easy to get lost in time.

My passion is for endangered animals, and that will be the theme for my exhibition, along with a few watercolours!.
